The Bad News is :

For those who attended the NEET 2020 Exam, of the 17 lakh MBBS Aspirants only 15 lakh MBBS aspiring students attended the exam as per the NTA.

Which means the competition for the 70,000 odd medical seats in India is very high this year despite the Covid 19 pandemic.

As per the latest NEET cutoff analysis for this year, the cutoffs may go higher as the paper was easy to moderate and most candidates should have answered well. The NEET cutoffs for previous years are given here.

Another Bad News is the NEET 2020 Answer Key to be released by NTA will be only at a later date as this happens in two phases.

NEET answer key 2020 released by NTA

The NEET 2020 answer key will be released by NTA in two phases. First a provisional NEET 2020 answer key will be released and here the candidates will be able to raise objections. After considering the valid objections, NTA will revise the provisional NEET answer key 2020 incorporating the changes and thereafter release the final NEET 2020 answer key.

The provisional NEET 2020 answer key is expected to be released in the third week of September, 2020. Candidates will be able to file an objection against this NEET 2020 answer key with a non-refundable fee of Rs 1,000 per question. The fee has to be paid online after filling the objection form.

How to calculate score using the answer key?

The below-mentioned steps can be used by aspirants to calculate their probable scores. Candidates must keep the official answer key and their OMR sheet to tally and collate the number of correct responses and the number of incorrect ones. They must ensure that the code of the question paper they received on the exam day matches the one given in the answer key.

When will the NEET Results date?

The NEET result date has been slated as September 30, 2020.

How to download NEET answer key?

Aspirants have to follow the below-mentioned steps to download the answer key

Step 1: Visit the NTA official website, ntaneet.nic.in

Step 2: Click on the candidate’s login section

Step 3: Enter the valid NEET application number and password

Step 4: A tab to view the answer key will appear on the screen

Step 5: Check the answer key displayed and download it

Step 6: Use the OMR sheet to match the answers

NEET 2020 score = 4 X (number of correct responses) – 1 X (number of incorrect responses)
