NEET 2020 results to be out on 16 Oct: Centre tells SC
NEET Result 2020, which was expected today, will now be declared on 16 October, after the decision made by the Supreme Court of India. The information was furnished at the Supreme Court on Monday by Solicitor General Tushar Mehta.
The Supreme Court said that the students who were unable to sit for the exam held on 13 September because they were either tested positive for coronavirus or because they lived in containment zones will be allowed to appear for NEET on 14 October. Their results will also be declared on 16 October, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told the Supreme Court.
According to a report inLiveLaw, a bench headed by the Chief Justice of India passed this order based on the request made by the Solicitor General of India, Tushar Mehta on behalf of the CBSE.

Supreme Court allows NEET exam to be conducted on 14 October for students who could not appear for it due to COVID-19 infection or because of residing in containment zones and results are expected to be announced on 16 October, reports news agency ANI.
Result to be declared by 1 pm, claim reports
The NEET 2020 result is expected to be declared by 1 pm, according to reports. Additionally, the NTA has said that the result will be available on official website ntaneet.nic.in for 90 days after declaration. Thus, if the result is declared today, it will be available on the website till 10 January, 2021.
NEET 2020 exam has 180 MCQs
The NEET 2020 question papers are available in English, Hindi, Urdu, Marathi, Telugu, Gujrati, Tamil, Bengali, Assamese and Kannada languages.
The NEET 2020 exam had 180 multiple choice questions divided into three sections - Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) with 45 questions each. The total marks for NEET 2020 is 720.
